Myra C. Stoner

Myra C. Stoner, 81, of Avalon Nursing Center died the night of May 29, 2007, in Jameson Hospital.

Born June 7, 1925, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Margaret W. Graham Stoner. She was married to LeRoy D. Stoner. He died Feb. 23, 1967.

Mrs. Stoner was the former cook and manager at Shenango Bowl-A-Way. She was a 17-year cancer survivor. Mrs. Stoner was a member of People’s Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Ash of West Pittsburg and Shirley Germani of New Castle; six sons, Donald Stoner, William Stoner and Edward Stoner, all of New Castle, Gary Stoner of Texas, Dennis Stoner of Cincinnati and Robert Stoner of Adrian, Mich.; a sister, Phyllis Ferdette of Butler; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Taylor and Agnes Kwait; two brothers, Phillip Chamberlain and Harry Chamberlain; one granddaughter; and one grandson.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Brian Miller of People’s Christian Missionary Alliance Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery.
