Dorothy B. Sapp

Former East Fairfield Avenue resident Dorothy B. Sapp, 92, of Rhodes Estates died ay 6:15 p.m. May 22, 2007, in Jameson Hospital.

Born May 3, 1915, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Wilmot and Rozina Kelly Beckwith. She was married to William A. Sapp. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Sapp was a retired secretary for Interstate Creamery and Boyles Coal Co. She was a member of Wimodausis, Eastern Star 105 and the Women’s Club. Mrs. Sapp was a very loving and generous person who will be missed by all who knew her. She was a member of Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church and held the second-oldest membership there. She was also a former trustee of the Irvine Bible Class.

Survivors include three nephews, Terry Beckwith, David Beckwith and Bill Beckwith; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Beckwith; a sister, Varabel Shaney; a niece, Betty Williams; and a nephew, Darreld Shaney.

Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St., and 10 to 11 a.m. tomorrow at Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the church. The Rev. William M. Myer, interim pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Clen-Moore Presbyterian Church or the City Rescue Mission.
