Ruth Marybelle Tindall
Ruth Marybelle Tindall, 88, of Portersville passed away on March 19 at the Sunnyview Nursing Center in Butler.
Marybelle was born October 8, 1924 to the late Howard S. and Della L. "Houk" Leslie. She married William C. Tindall on January 1, 1946. Together, they owned and operated Tindall's Arlington Market in New Castle until retirement.
She grew up attending the Center Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, and played the piano for the church youth group and Sunday services.
Marybelle currently attended Zion Baptist Church where she also was active in Morning Bible Study.
She enjoyed gardening and her family, especially for holiday gatherings and attending horse shows with them on weekends.
She is survived by her Husband; William C. Tindall, her daughters and sons-in-law; Jean and Jim Clyde of New Castle and Karen and Warren Enscoe of Portersville, a son and daughter-in-law; Bill and Marlene Tindall of Gettysburg, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and her brothers; John H. Leslie of New Castle and James S. Leslie of Hillsville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Leslie.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 North Jefferson Street, New Castle.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 am at the Zion Baptist Church, 154 Currie Road, and will be conducted by Rev. Thomas L. Meling, church pastor.
Interment will follow in the Zion Baptist Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Zion Baptist Church Kitchen Fund.
