Helen E. Harrison
Helen E. Harrison, 89, of Florine's Lane, Union Township, died the morning of Sept. 5th, 2006, in her home.
Born June 9, 1917, in Slippery Rock Township, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Daisy White Myers. She was married to Richard M. Harrison. He died in April 1983.
Mrs. Harrison was retired from the cafeteria at Laurel High School and the J.C. Penney Co. She was a member of the Laurel School Retirees. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Neshannock Presbyterian Church, where she was in the choir, a pianist for Sunday school and belonged to the 4-F Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two sons, Robert G. Harrison of Newark, Ohio, and Joseph E. Harrison of Seattle; a brother, Dale Myers of Zelienople; a sister, Mary Margaret "Peg" Jones of New Castle; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Robert Myers, Charles Myers, Joseph Myers, William Myers, Clyde Myers and Thomas Myers.
Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Cuffman will officiate.
Burial will be in Neshannock Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
