George B. Hall

George B. Hall, 87, of Grove Avenue, Union Township, died the afternoon of Feb. 9, 2007, in his home.

Born Aug. 19, 1919, in Eastbrook, he was a son of the late Blanchard and Sarah Mae Smith Hall. He was first married to the former Ruth Boyles. She died in 1942. He subsequently married the former Edna Mae Fisher. She died in 1986. Mr. Hall was retired as machine shop foreman for the Pennsylvania Engineering Co. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Hall was a member of Mahoning-New Castle Lodge 243, F&AM. He was an avid golfer and bowler.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Judy Hall Daugherty of New Castle; a son and daughter-in-law, David W. and Beverly Hall of New Castle; grandchildren, Craig S. Hall, Kevin W. Hall, and Tammy Lynn Saad and her husband, Ted, of New Castle; and great-grandchildren, Teddy Saad, Marisa Saad and Kadin Hall. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by two sons, Robert E. Hall and Kenneth W. Hall; and two sisters, Evelyn Miller and Norma Vitril.

Calling hours are 5 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Patrick Daugherty of United Brethren in Christ Church will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
