Edward F. Kleckner
Edward F. Kleckner, 67, of Bodziach Road, Hickory Twp. passed away at his residence at 9 am on Saturday, December 13.
Ed was born in New Castle on September 28, 1947 to the late Stephen J. and Beverly M. "Cowan" Kleckner. He married the former Jean M. Perry who survives him at home. They were married for 49 years. Prior to retirement, Ed work as a millwright for Ellwood Crankshaft and Machine Co. in Hermitage. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being surrounded by his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Jean, Ed is survived by his son and daughter; Edward F. Kleckner, Jr. and Sandra L. (and husband Terry) McKenzie, both of New Castle, his grandchildren; Ciara and Dyan Kleckner and Blaise McKenzie, as well as his sisters; Deanna Parady and Elizabeth Dolling of New Castle, Merideth Wertzler of Berlin Center, OH. and Kathleen Good of Austintown, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Stephen and Charles "Jeff" Kleckner.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, December 18 at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 North Jefferson St., New Castle.
Funeral services will follow at 7 pm at the funeral home and will be conducted by Rev. Richard C. Nero, chaplain for Southern Care Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Family Hospice and Palliative Care.
