Dorothy F. Copper

Dorothy F. Copper, 79, of George Washington Road, Scott Township, died the morning of Feb. 1, 2006, in Jameson Hospital.

Born May 16, 1926, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Clarence M. and Grace Gerber Richeal.

She was married to Harry B. Copper. He died May 12, 1993.

Mrs. Copper was a graduate of the former Harlansburg High School.

She was a member of Rich Hill Presbyterian Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and belonged to the Miller Missionary Society.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Copper of Houston; three sons, Ron J. Copper, Richard A. Copper and Dwight Copper, all of New Castle; four sisters, Mildred Myers of New Castle, Bernice Strawhecker of Enon Valley, Doris Patton of Lucerne Valley, Calif., and Jeanne Llewellyn of Phoenix; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Blakely.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Richard Horn, supply pastor of Rich Hill Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
