Clementina E. Moore
Clementina E. Moore, 91, of Harlansburg Road, Hickory Twp. passed away at 12:30 pm on December 24 at the VA Medical Center in Butler.
Clementina was born in Pittsburgh on February 10, 1920 to the late Elias and Clementine 'Plowmaker' Guenther. She was married to Edwin L. Moore, Sr. for 60 years before his passing in July of 2008.
She served in the Army as a First Lieutenant during WWII. She was a member of the Neshannock Presbyterian Church, VFW Post 315, and the Perry S. Gaston American Legion Post.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her daughter; Joan B. Ketchum of New Castle, three sons; Dennis Moore of Mt. Jackson, Edwin L. Moore, Jr. of New Castle, Craig A. Moore of Beaver, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and a brother; John Guenther of Garden Grove, CA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by two brothers; Paul and Harry Guenther, and two sisters; Agnes Mazey and Helen Paoletti.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday (Dec. 27) at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 North Jefferson Street in New Castle.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (Dec. 28) at the Neshannock Presbyterian Church and will be conducted by Rev. Gary Waguespak, pastor of the church and assisted by Rev. Robert Strobel of the Evangel Community Church.
Interment will follow at the Neshannock Presbyterian Church Cemetery where military rites will be performed by the New Castle Area Honor Guard.
