Helen F. Brickner

Former Lakewood Beach area resident Helen F. Brickner, 93, of Haven Convalescent Home, died the afternoon of Jan. 14, 2005, at the home.

Born Oct. 6, 1911, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late William and Bessie Double Lennig.

She married Charles A. Brickner on Aug. 3, 1929. He survives.

Mrs. Brickner was retired from Jameson Candy, where she was a manager.

She was a member of Eastbrook Methodist Church, where she was the former director of the children’s choir.

In addition to her husband, survivors include four daughters, Joan Robison and Jean Ayers, both of New Castle, Janice Bova of Niwot, Colo., and Joyce Stiffler of Longmont, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell Lennig and Robert Lennig.

Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Nelson Thayer of Eastbrook Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
