Charles A. Brickner
Charles A. Brickner, 96, of Haven Convalescent Home died the night of May 9, 2006, in the convalescent home.
Born July 24, 1909, in Booneville, Mo., he was a son of the late Charles F. and Frieda Fredrick Brickner. He was married to the former Helen F. Lennig. She died Jan. 14, 2005.
Mr. Brickner was a retired retail sales clerk at Sears. He was a member of Eastbrook United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Joan Robison of New Castle, Janice Bova of Niwot, Colo., and Joyce Stiffler of Longmont, Colo.; a sister, Melba Clark of Watertown, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Ayers on March 9, 2005; and a brother, Melvin Brickner.
Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Nelson Thayer of Eastbrook United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
