Richard W. Alley, Sr.

Hickory Township resident Richard W. Alley, 62, of Moffatt Road, died the morning of Jan. 15, 2005, in Jameson Hospital.

Born April 30, 1942, in Cleveland, he was a son of the late Richard T. and Florence Taylor Alley.

He was married to the former Catherine M. Siddall for 43 years. She survives.

Mr. Alley was a truck driver for Butch & McCree Paving Co., Hillsville, and for Kirila of Brookfield, Ohio, for 24 years.

He was a member of the Cultural German Society and The Dukes.

A music lover and guitar player, he loved cooking and was an excellent chef.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Pamela Sue Davis of Slippery Rock; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard W. Alley Jr. and Jeffrey D. and Marlene Alley, all of New Castle; three brothers, Willis Alley and Timothy Alley, both of Oklahoma, and LeRoy Alley of California; a sister, Robin Kirkman of Arizona; and three grandchildren, Keith Davis, Jeremy Alley and Garrett Davis.

Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Turner-Myers Funeral Home, 208 N. Jefferson St. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God. The Rev. Kenneth Meyer will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
